Description
Bishop (X-Corp) travels across time in the X-Men '97 Bishop (X-Corp) (Wave 4) Funko Pop! Vinyl Figure #1608. Inspired by Marvel Animation's X-Men '97, this Wave 4 collectible features the time-traveling mutant wearing a yellow-and-black combat suit with an X-Men emblem on his belt, chest straps, and reinforced leg guards. His short black hair, beard, and distinctive M-shaped facial marking recreate recognizable details of Lucas Bishop's appearance. With his arms extended and both fists surrounded by translucent pink-and-purple energy effects, the figure captures Bishop preparing to unleash the power he has absorbed. Standing approximately 4.4 inches tall, this X-Corp release brings a dynamic interpretation of the futuristic mutant warrior into Funko's Marvel collection.
Lucas Bishop first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #282 (1991), created by John Byrne and Whilce Portacio. Born in a future where mutants face persecution and imprisonment, Bishop eventually travels into the past and becomes a powerful ally of Charles Xavier's X-Men. His mutant ability allows him to absorb and redirect energy, making him a formidable opponent against enemies who rely on energy-based attacks. In X-Men '97, Bishop plays an important role in the team's increasingly complicated relationship with time travel, alternate futures, and the consequences of changing history. His determination to prevent catastrophic events reflects the burden of a hero who has witnessed humanity's darkest possibilities and refuses to accept them as inevitable.
